First snow

Well we had our first snow of the season in Canaan Valley Saturday Oct. 1st. Seems like we always have a tracking snow the first day of bow season, which was moved up this year, so Mother Nature moved up too. I'll try to post some pictures later. Friday was beautiful. Tad and I drove over to Fort Seybert to squirrel hunt. Only got one. Which is better than last year.
The trees still have too many leaves. The leave have not changed on that side of the mountain yet. They should really be pretty next week. Canaan's have peaked. Elkins will be nice this week for the Forest Festival. I'll be down home, Barboursville, this week end for my two grandsons' football and soccer games. Will have to make a trip to Milton's Pumpkin Festival to get some pumpkin butter and pumpkin fudge.
